Step 3 – Go to the ‘Buy Crypto’ section
Now you are ready to buy some Bitcoin. In the step above, whether you clicked new or experienced trader, it doesn’t matter. You should still find an orange ‘Buy Crypto’ button on the screen (see below). Click on that to start the buying process. If you don’t see the screen below, simply click ‘Buy Crypto’ in the menu along the top, and then click ‘One-Click Buy’ from the dropdown menu.
You should see a page like the screenshot below. Select the fiat currency you wish to use, and choose Bitcoin from the dropdown menu of cryptocurrencies. In this guide, let’s purchase $250 USD worth of Bitcoin as an example. Next, click in the ‘Payment Methods’ dropdown menu, and you will see that there is no option for Apple Pay. Not to worry, you can use Apple Pay, but first choose ‘Google Pay’ at this step. Click the orange button underneath to start the purchase process.
Now you should see a screen like the one below, with various payment options, eg: MoonPay, Paxful, Banxa, and Mercuryo support Apple Pay. If you want to buy Bitcoin without verification, you need to choose Paxful. Banxa, MoonPay, and Mercuryo all require document verification before you can buy Bitcoin.
When you have selected Paxful, tick the box to agree to the disclaimer, then click the ‘Continue’ button.
Step 4 – Buy Bitcoin with Apple Pay
You will be redirected to the screen below, where you need to create an account with Paxful. Enter your email address, then click Log In. If you do not have a Paxful account, it will direct you to their website where you can create an account. You will also need to verify your email address to activate the Paxful account.
After you have created your Paxful account, return to Bybit and follow the instructions in ‘Step 3‘ above again. Click ‘Paxful’ as your payment method again, and this time you will see a screen like the one below. To choose Apple Pay in this screen, click on ‘Online Wallets’, and type ‘Apple Pay’ in the search field, then click on it.
Now you will see an offer that you can accept: you can see in the screenshot below that we are paying 250 USD, and the amount of Bitcoin we will receive in return is 0.00978251 BTC. If you are happy to accept this, click on the ‘Get Verified’ button. Don’t worry, you don’t need to submit any ID documents, all you need is to verify a mobile number.
Enter your phone number and click ‘Request code’ or ‘call me’ if you prefer. Once that has been verified, you can continue with the steps to set a password and complete the trade.
