Step 2 - Create an account
It is very simple to register an account on Bybit; it is less hassle than other exchanges, because you do not need to submit documents or photos of yourself. In fact, no KYC verification is required at all, if you do not wish to. This allows you to trade anonymously and keep your personal information private. If you sign up with our link, you will also receive $10 FREE Bitcoin as a special offer: https://partner.bybit.com/b/55501
After clicking on the link above, you will see a page similar to the screenshot below. Enter your email address, choose a password, and click 'Create Account'. If you like, you can also register with your Google account or mobile number.
Note: Bybit is NOT available in the US or Singapore. However, since Bybit does not require KYC verification, some US residents access Bybit, using a VPN. If you are unable to sign up to Bybit, you can use Zengo or Crypto.com instead, which are excellent options available in the USA.
After signing up to Bybit, verify your email address by entering the code that is sent to your email. Following email verification, you will see a page like the screenshot below. Choose the appropriate button, depending on whether you are a new or experienced crypto trader, and Bybit will tailor the experience to your needs! Bybit has excellent live chat support that is available 24/7, so if you are ever stuck, you can easily get help.
Step 3 - Go to the 'Buy Crypto' section
It's time to start the crypto buying process. It doesn't matter if you clicked on new or experienced trader in the step above, you should see an orange 'Buy Crypto' button on your screen. Click on that button to get started. If you cannot see that 'Buy Crypto' button, you can click it from the menu along the top. A dropdown menu will appear, and then you select 'One-Click Buy'.
You should see a screen like the one below. Select the fiat currency you want to pay with, and then choose the cryptocurrency you want to purchase. In this example, I will spend $250 USD to buy Bitcoin. Click on 'Payment Methods' and a dropdown menu will appear. Select 'GooglePay' here, then click the orange button underneath.
Now you should see a screen like the one below, with different payment channels. The price per Bitcoin is shown underneath the name of each payment channel. Select the one you wish to use. In our example, I chose MoonPay, since it is the lowest-cost choice for Google Pay. LegendTrading is even better value, but it does not support Google Pay.
After selecting your payment channel, tick the box to say that you agree to the disclaimer, then click 'Continue'.
Step 4 - Buy cryptocurrency with Google Pay
A new window will open, taking you to the payment channel that you chose. In this example, a MoonPay webpage opened. Type in your email and click 'Continue' to create your account.
Enter the verification code that was sent to your email address, tick the boxes, and click 'Continue'.
Now you have to enter your details: name, date of birth, and nationality, to create your account. After finishing this account set-up, follow the prompts to finalise the transaction with Google Pay.
After making the crypto purchase with Google Pay, return to your Bybit account to check that it was successful. In the top right menu of Bybit, click 'Assets' and then 'Assets Overview' (see screenshot below). You should see a screen like the one below, and the value of your cryptocurrency should be there. To see a more detailed view, click the menu items along the left side of the page.
That's it, you have successfully bought cryptocurrency with Google Pay!
