If you want to do more research before opening an account with a crypto exchange, have a read of our article on the best crypto exchanges here. But remember you need to check if the exchange you want to use accepts Apple Pay before you sign up.

Step 2 - Sign up to crypto exchange

It is quick and easy to open an account with Bybit, and you don't even need to complete KYC verification. This means no uploading of your photos or driver license, and you can remain anonymous. Click on this link to sign up, and you will receive FREE $10 Bitcoin as one of our readers:

When you click on that link, you will be taken to a page like the screenshot below. Type in your email address, create a password, then click Create Account. You can also sign up using your Google account or mobile number if you prefer.

Note: Bybit is not available for residents of the US or Singapore. However, since Bybit does not conduct KYC, some people still use it, with the aid of a VPN. If you do not wish to use Bybit, you can use Zengo or instead.

After you have created your account, you will need to verify your email address by entering the code that is sent to your email. After that, you will be taken to a screen like the one below. You can select whether you are new or experienced, and Bybit will guide you accordingly! Bybit also has 24/7 live chat support, so if you ever need assistance, simply contact them. Choose which of the buttons best represents your situation.

Step 3 - Go to the 'Buy Crypto' section

The next step is to begin the purchase process. Whether you clicked that you are a new or experienced trader in the step above, you should see an orange 'Buy Crypto' button on the screen. Click that button to begin your crypto purchasing journey. If your screen doesn't look like the one below, you can click 'Buy Crypto' in the menu along the top, and then select 'One-Click Buy' from the dropdown menu.

Now your screen should look like the one below. Simply choose which fiat currency you wish to spend, and the cryptocurrency you want to buy. In our example we will purchase $250 USD worth of Bitcoin. Next, click in the 'Payment Methods' dropdown menu, and you will notice that there is no option for Apple Pay here. Do not worry, you can definitely use Apple Pay, but you need to select 'Google Pay' at this step. Click the orange button underneath to begin your purchase.

You will see a screen like the one below, with several payment channels. You will notice that some of them, for example MoonPay, Simplex, and Mercuryo support Apple Pay. I have chosen MoonPay in this example, as it is the cheapest option for Apple Pay. The price per Bitcoin is displayed under the name of each payment channel. LegendTrading is the cheapest option, but it doesn't support Apple Pay.

When you have chosen the payment channel, you can tick that you have read and agree to the disclaimer, then click the 'Continue' button.

Step 4 - Buy cryptocurrency

You will be redirected to the third-party payment channel where you can make your payment. In our example, we are taken to the MoonPay website. Enter your email address and click 'Continue' to create an account.

Enter the verification code that was sent to your email address, tick the boxes, then click 'Continue'.

Next you need to fill in your personal details such as name, birthday, and Nationality to finalise your account. After you do this, you will be able to complete your purchase using Apple Pay.

Now you can go back to Bybit to see that your purchase was made successfully. Click on 'Assets' in the menu along the top right, then select 'Assets Overview'. Your screen will look similar to the one below, and you can see the value of the crypto that you have purchased. You can also see a more detailed view by clicking along the menu items along the left side. Congratulations, you have managed to buy crypto using Apple Pay!
