Many cryptocurrency traders like to buy USDT (Tether) to use to trade against other cryptocurrencies. USDT is a stablecoin pegged to the US Dollar, meaning that the value remains stable amidst the volatility of the crypto market.

Many cryptocurrency exchanges allow the purchase of USDT with bank transfer, Visa, MasterCard, or Apple Pay. However, not all of them support Google Pay as a payment method. We have done the research for you, testing out dozens of crypto exchanges to find the ones where you can buy USDT with Google Pay. We have found the three best places to buy USDT with Google Pay, and we have a complete guide with screenshots to show you through the whole process.

Where can I buy USDT with Google Pay?

We have found a few options where you can buy USDT with Google Pay, and our #1 recommendation is MEXC Global because it is a trusted exchange available all over the world, including the US. With MEXC, you do not need to submit your ID, so you can remain anonymous, and the process of buying USDT is quick and easy.

Another great reason to use MEXC is that they offer zero fee trading for makers, whether you trade spot or futures. If you are a taker, the fee is 0% for spot trading, and 0.01% for futures. There is a huge range of 1,520+ coins available to trade, and you can learn to trade like a pro with this free crypto trading course for beginners. Step 2 - Register an account

Sign up to the crypto exchange you have chosen. If you want to sign up to MEXC, it is really easy, as they do not require any KYC verification. If you sign up with our link here, you also receive $30 FREE USDT and 10% off trading fees.

When you click on the MEXC sign-up link above, you will be directed to MEXC's sign-up page, which will look like the screenshot below.

Enter your email, and create a password. You can also sign up with your mobile number instead if you prefer. Tick the box to agree to the User Agreement and Privacy Policy, and then click 'Sign Up'.

Step 3 - Navigate to the 'Buy Crypto' section

Once you have signed up to your MEXC account, you should see a 'Buy Crypto' button in the menu (circled in red below). When you click on that, a dropdown menu will appear, and then click on 'Quick Buy/Sell'.

Your screen will look similar to the one below. Click on 'Third-party' (as circled in red in screenshot below).

Step 4 - Select fiat currency and purchase amount

It's time to select the fiat currency you wish to pay with. We are going to pay with US Dollars in this example, so we selected USD from the dropdown menu (see red circle below). Next to that, you can see a dropdown menu (circled in blue) where you can choose which cryptocurrency to buy. There are various options, such as BTC, ETH, USDC, TRX, and more. In this guide, we want to buy USDT, so we have selected that.

On the left, you can type in how much of your fiat currency you wish to spend. In this example, we are spending 1,000 USD to buy USDT.

Underneath, you will see various payment channels. Since we want to buy USDT with Google Pay, we need to look for the Google logo (see red arrows below). At the time of writing, MoonPay and Mercuryo support Google Pay, but we will choose MoonPay as it is offering the best price.

Select MoonPay, and you can see the payment details on the right. You will see the amount you are paying, and the amount you will receive in return. When you have confirmed these details, tick the box (see pink circle below), and then click 'Continue'.

Step 5 - Sign up with Payment Channel to buy USDT

You will be re-directed to the website of the Payment Channel you selected, in this case MoonPay. You will need to sign up to MoonPay in order to buy USDT with Google Pay. Enter your email, then click 'Continue'.

You will receive a verification code sent to your email. Enter this code, tick the boxes and then click 'Continue'.

Fill out your basic details to create your account: name, date of birth, and nationality. After completing this account set-up, follow the prompts to finalize the purchase of USDT with Google Pay.

Step 6 - Check your USDT is in your account

After you have completed the purchase using Google Pay, return to your MEXC account to see if you received your USDT. In the top right corner of the site, click 'Wallets' (see red circle below), and then click 'Overview'.

Your account should look similar to the screenshot below. Scroll down further to see your crypto assets.

You will see a list of cryptocurrencies, and you should see a balance next to USDT (circled in red below). In our screenshot below the balances are hidden for privacy reasons, but in your account it should clearly state how much USDT you own. Congratulations, you have managed to buy USDT with Google Pay!

If you want to use your USDT to trade crypto, simply click on the 'Trade' button in the menu along the top. If you are new to trading, you might want to read our trading course for beginners. We use screenshots from our MEXC account to show you how to trade, so you can easily follow along.
